Getting Back Out There

As I reflect on our recent outreach trip to the I-80 rest stop, I'm filled with gratitude and excitement for the opportunity to serve others. It was our first outing in a while, but it felt like no time had passed at all – we were back out there, sharing God's love and encouragement with others. We were blessed to have two wonderful Christians, Rusty and Kenneth, stop by and connect with us. We prayed together, and even went through the three circles approach to sharing the Gospel with one of them. It was a powerful reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a big impact. But what struck me most was the gratitude we received from those who stopped by to thank us for being there. It's a humbling experience, knowing that our willingness to serve and pray for others is making a difference in their lives. It also made me think how important it is to do this in our daily activities, it should not be unusual for Christians that someone should stop and commend us but be part of our daily walk. We have so many opportunities when we think about how often people share their stories of brokenness with us. These are perfect opportunities for us to pray for them and share the Good News of what Jesus has done for each of us. Let's look for opportunities to share the good news with others, especially those who share their brokenness with us. Whether it's through a listening ear, a comforting word, or a prayer lifted up on behalf of another, let's be mindful of the ways we can show God's love to those around us. If you're looking for ways to get involved and spread God's love, I invite you to join us on our next outreach adventure! Whether it's praying with travelers or simply showing up to offer a listening ear, every bit counts. Let's continue to serve together and watch God work in amazing ways.
