Prayer and Evangelism at Fox Valley Mall, Dec 23, 2024

On a bustling day at the Fox Valley Mall, our team of four - Abdo, Eric, Mark, and myself (Nigel) - set out to pray for people and share the life-changing message of the Gospel. With Christmas shopping still in full swing, the mall was packed with people scrambling to find the perfect gifts for their loved ones. But amidst the chaos and commercialism, we were determined to bring a different kind of gift - the gift of hope, love, and salvation through Jesus Christ. As we arrived at the mall, Abdo and Eric decided to team up and start their outreach efforts together. It wasn't long before they were approached by someone in need of prayer. God was already moving, and our team was eager to be a part of it. Meanwhile, Mark and I walked around the mall, ready to pray for the people we met and looking for opportunities to share the Gospel. For a while, it seemed like a slow start, but we trusted that God was working behind the scenes. Then, we met Aiden. He approached us with excitement and asked if we could share the Gospel and pray for his sister, Sophia. Our hearts were filled with excitement and compassion as we shared the Good News of Jesus Christ with Sophia, and prayed for her, who is seeking to know more about Jesus. It was a beautiful moment, and we could sense the Holy Spirit at work in their lives. As we continued to pray for Aiden and Sophia, we were reminded that outreach is not just about one-day events or encounters, but about building relationships and supporting people on their spiritual journeys. We will continue to lift them up in prayer, asking God to reveal Himself to Sophia and to guide Aiden as he shares his faith with others. Our time at the Fox Valley Mall was a great reminder that God is always at work, even in the busiest and most unexpected places. We may not have seen thousands of people come to Christ that day, but we know that every prayer, every conversation, and every Gospel shared has the potential to change lives. And that's what makes outreach so exciting - the knowledge that we are partnering with God to bring hope and salvation to a world in need. As we reflect on our day at the mall, we are filled with gratitude and joy. We are thankful for the opportunities we had to pray for people, share the Gospel, and see God at work in the lives of those we met. And we are already looking forward to our next outreach outing, eager to see how God will use us to bring light and love to our community.
